Itβs the end of the year again and here I am once again, writing yet another summary π€ When it comes to cosplay numbers: 20 photo shoots, 1.5 new handmade costumes, 6 conventions. Iβm not counting bought cosplays because honestly I donβt care, and also itβs hard to count them since for some I made some parts that didnβt fit me or were just poorly made, some I bought earlier, some this year, for some I styled a wig, for some made shoes or other accessories. So yeah itβs way easier to count only the handmade ones and skip the rest π
Last year I also made 1.5 costumes from scratch, just like in 2025. I counted Millie from Helluva Boss as a half, because I didnβt make her props last year. This year though I managed to craft her axe and two daggers, so the missing half isnβt missing anymore π I also made Darcy from Trix (Winx Club Series) and Iβm really happy with how she turned out. I started this cosplay early enough, so I could make everything on time without freaking out about the deadline! I also had enough time to make all the details I wanted to π
As for the conventions β 6 is quite a lot, especially considering the fact that at 4 of them I wore cosplays for 1β3 days straight π€£ I think this or maybe last year I found joy in dressing up at cons anew β very unexpected and also very welcome.
When it comes to photo shoots β well, itβs still my favorite thing to do, as you can clearly see π Fun fact is that my first and last photo shoot this year was Violet from Persona 5 lol
Generally I feel like this year was kinda weird. I had a lot more breakdowns than in the previous years, especially in Autumn and Winter. It was a good year, with many beautiful and exciting moments. But I donβt feel as fulfilled or satisfied with the state of my life and mental health as I was before lol Iβm perfectly aware though that itβs totally normal β each year is different, with various difficulties and opportunities π€
As for the 2026 resolutions β well I feel like Iβve got the same resolutions or rather wishes every year β less photo shoots, more crafting and more armor builds. Unfortunately I fail miserably each year at making those dreams come true π I think the problem is that I stop at dreaming and donβt make any particular action towards making those dreams reality π€ Well I guess thatβs something to think about in the upcoming days and maybe reorganize my cosplay routine π€
Thank you for all your likes, comments, shares, messages and just for sticking around. It really means a lot to me. With the development of LLMs and the direction where social media are heading nowadays, it can easily get kinda depressing out there. In my opinion now itβs even more important than before to just do your thing. Just keep creating, crafting, expressing yourself, because what else is there? An abyss full of AI slop. So Iβm really grateful for every person who decides to share their (not LLM) work with the world. We need creative folks out there!
Thank you all once again and wish you all the best in 2026!
