2025 Summary

It’s the end of the year again and here I am once again, writing yet another summary πŸ€” When it comes to cosplay numbers: 20 photo shoots, 1.5 new handmade costumes, 6 conventions. I’m not counting bought cosplays because honestly I don’t care, and also it’s hard to count them since for some I made some parts that didn’t fit me or were just poorly made, some I bought earlier, some this year, for some I styled a wig, for some made shoes or other accessories. So yeah it’s way easier to count only the handmade ones and skip the rest πŸ˜…

Last year I also made 1.5 costumes from scratch, just like in 2025. I counted Millie from Helluva Boss as a half, because I didn’t make her props last year. This year though I managed to craft her axe and two daggers, so the missing half isn’t missing anymore πŸ˜‚ I also made Darcy from Trix (Winx Club Series) and I’m really happy with how she turned out. I started this cosplay early enough, so I could make everything on time without freaking out about the deadline! I also had enough time to make all the details I wanted to 😍

As for the conventions – 6 is quite a lot, especially considering the fact that at 4 of them I wore cosplays for 1–3 days straight 🀣 I think this or maybe last year I found joy in dressing up at cons anew – very unexpected and also very welcome.

When it comes to photo shoots – well, it’s still my favorite thing to do, as you can clearly see πŸ˜… Fun fact is that my first and last photo shoot this year was Violet from Persona 5 lol

Generally I feel like this year was kinda weird. I had a lot more breakdowns than in the previous years, especially in Autumn and Winter. It was a good year, with many beautiful and exciting moments. But I don’t feel as fulfilled or satisfied with the state of my life and mental health as I was before lol I’m perfectly aware though that it’s totally normal – each year is different, with various difficulties and opportunities πŸ€—

As for the 2026 resolutions – well I feel like I’ve got the same resolutions or rather wishes every year – less photo shoots, more crafting and more armor builds. Unfortunately I fail miserably each year at making those dreams come true πŸ˜” I think the problem is that I stop at dreaming and don’t make any particular action towards making those dreams reality πŸ€” Well I guess that’s something to think about in the upcoming days and maybe reorganize my cosplay routine πŸ€—

Thank you for all your likes, comments, shares, messages and just for sticking around. It really means a lot to me. With the development of LLMs and the direction where social media are heading nowadays, it can easily get kinda depressing out there. In my opinion now it’s even more important than before to just do your thing. Just keep creating, crafting, expressing yourself, because what else is there? An abyss full of AI slop. So I’m really grateful for every person who decides to share their (not LLM) work with the world. We need creative folks out there!

Thank you all once again and wish you all the best in 2026!

2024 Summary

This year’s summary looks quite humble compared to previous ones πŸ˜… I worked overhours for the whole summer so I could spend more money on my 3 weeks vacation in the US in October 😊 So I didn’t have any time for cosplay. When we came back I immediately slipped into my annual winter rest and I’m not doing anything cosplay-related until March πŸ˜…

Anyway it was a great year! I did “only” 11 photo shoots (3 out of them happened on the same day, in the same cosplay lol), but I’m super happy I could share these few moments with friends and some of my favorite photographers 😊

I went to 5 conventions, which is quite a lot considering the fact that for the past few years I attended only 1-2 per year! And I even wore a cosplay at cons TWICE!!! In the previous years it was one time per year maximum, sometimes even none πŸ˜‚

I made 1.5 new cosplays: Cleo from Monster High and Millie from Helluva Boss. I’d like to make proper hooves for Millie and also some props, so I’m counting her only as a half. Some cosplays I’ve bought earlier and only took them to photo shoots this year. Some were partly finished and this year I managed to complete them. So only Millie and Cleo were started and finished this year!

As for the 2025 resolutions – well, as usually, I’ve got more ideas than Time&Energy&Moneyβ„’ πŸ˜… I’d like to finish cosplays I started making this year, like Darcy and Bloom from Winx, Polly from Monster Prom, Barbie Anneliese, Velvette from Hazbin Hotel, Heather from Silent Hill… probably some more I forgot about right now… I also really miss crafting armor, so I’d be super happy if I could squeeze in an armor project πŸ₯Ί I also have some cosplays I’ve bought earlier, waiting for props or wigs, so it’d be great if they got proper photo shoots this year!

Apart from that I also have a dream to remake Jaina from World of Warcraft. I cosplayed her for the first time in 2015 and it’d be something really cool to make this costume again 10 years later!

But as usually, I don’t promise anything or making my plans something super serious! Cosplay is supposed to bring me joy, so I’m definitely not going to stress over my unrealistic deadlines and cosplans πŸ˜‚

Anyway, not to make this too long, 2024 for me was an incredible year and I’m looking forward to 2025 adventures!

2023 Summary

I was very unmotivated to write 2023 summary πŸ˜… Every year from ~November/December till ~March I have less energy and I just want to lie and play video games and think about my plans for when there’s more sun outside πŸ˜… anyway here are some numbers:

  • 24 photo shoots
  • Most shoots I’ve done in September (6), second place goes to June and July (4 each month) and the last one to January and December, which both scored 0 πŸ˜…
  • 2 new handmade cosplays (Enid and Stella)
  • 5 new bought cosplays (Kaitlyn, Steph, Bo Peep, Draculaura, Wednesday) (some of them I had earlier, they were just incomplete)
  • I worked with 15 photographers 🀩
  • 1 convention without a cosplay
  • 0 conventions with a cosplay

My resolutions for 2023 were to do less shoots than in 2022 (that worked out, I did 32 in 2022) and to lower the number of conventions to 0 in general. That worked partially, in 2022 I was all 3 days at Pyrkon, in 2023 only on Friday, without a cosplay and it was a great idea, I’m gonna definitely do the same this year 😁

As for 2024 resolutions: I’d like to make one armor set (Alleria from WoW) because I miss crafting armor pieces! And I’d like to do even less shoots than in 2023, but we’ll see about that, I’m always full of energy and ideas what there’s more sun outside!

Thank you for staying around and here’s to another great year πŸ₯³

2022 Summary

My 2022 cosplay activity in numbers:

  • 32 photo shoots πŸ₯Ή
  • Most shoots I’ve done in October (7), second place goes to May (6), third to June (4) and the last one to January, which scored 0 πŸ˜‚
  • I worked with 22 photographers 🀩
  • I got 10 new cosplays, but don’t get this wrong! Most of them I bought or prepared earlier, they were missing some accessories or wigs. This year I made only 3,5 new costumes from scratch: Bela and Cassandra from Resident Evil, Madison from American Horror Story and Sin’dorei Gaga from Hearthstone. The missing half is partial remake of A.F.Kay from Hearthstone. Special mention goes to Priscilla’s lute, it required some work πŸ˜…
  • 1 convention without a cosplay
  • 0 conventions with a cosplay

I think that was the most busy year in my whole cosplay career πŸ˜‚ My 2022 resolution was “to do at least one photo shoot each month” but I forgot my brain doesn’t know when to stop. So my 2023 resolution is “1 photo shoot trip each month”. No more, no less. It’s a “trip” instead of “a shoot” because sometimes I prefer to travel for a few days and shoot few costumes, 1 or 2 each day! I also want to focus on some other stuff in my life, that’s why I don’t want cosplay to be my no. 1 priority next year.

I’ve got a full-time job and I’m still studying, which consumes a lot of time and effort 😞

On the contrary, I played only 2 video games this year (Overcooked 2 and Detroit: Become Human). I didn’t watch any series or read any book for the first half of the year πŸ₯² I got tired after June and decided to reschedule my daily life!

I’m not sharing my 2023 cosplans, because they constantly change and as I mentioned before, I’d like to focus more on something else than cosplay next year. But worry not, as long as it gives me joy, I won’t stop cosplaying πŸ₯° My cosplans are highly influenced by mu current interests and who knows what’s going to bring my attention next year?

The one thing I know for sure is that I want to decrease my convention count to 0 πŸ˜‚ I don’t feel like I belong there anymore, crowds drain my energy super fast and also walking around wearing uncomfortable outfit in heavy make-up isn’t my dream idea of spending free time.

Thank you for following me and for all your likes, shares and comments! It really warms my heart to know so many people enjoy what I do! Here’s to another year full of shoots and ideas! 🍾πŸ₯‚

How I stopped hating working out

Well, it’s been a while, but I finally have some thoughts to share! Today’s post is about my relation with sports and body over lifetime 😁

As a child, I had health issues and I often missed classes, especially P.E. I’ve never been good at it and always was one of the last chosen for a team when we’ve done group activities 😬 Even my friends didn’t want me in their team, because I was the weaker one, or at least that’s how I remember it 😬 My parents wanted to find something I’d like to train after school, so I tried some dancing and tennis but it was all boring for me. I started playing Tomb Raider back then and I remember I wanted to start learn acrobatics to be like Lara Croft πŸ˜‚ But I can’t recall why I never did, maybe I didn’t tell my parents it’s what I’d like to learn? Maybe I thought it’s already too late? πŸ˜‚ (I was 10 at that time) Or maybe I was convinced I’m a loser and I’ll never be able to do such tricks, so what’s the point of trying πŸ˜”

When I was a teenager, my health got better. My mom always encouraged me to work out, just for health’s sake. So I tried going to a gym, but I ended up reading books while running on a track, because it was boring for me too πŸ˜‚ and audiobooks weren’t that popular back then. I also tried dancing and some fitness classes, but always quit after a few months. I regularly trained swimming for half a year or so, but again, quit for the same reason. Health itself wasn’t motivating enough for me, especially when I was young and didn’t have many issues πŸ˜…

Later, when I started studying, I wanted to revive my dream of becoming Lara Croft and train acrobatics. I moved out to a big city, but couldn’t find a group for adults πŸ˜” All were aimed at children or teenagers. I could only sign up for individual classes, but it was too expensive. So I tried fitness classes once more, but the story was the same, I got bored after a few months. I thought I just can’t do sports, because there isn’t any activity that wouldn’t be boring for me. I always liked bicycling, but I can’t really do that in winter. I also used to change my apartments every few months of various reasons and in some of them there wasn’t enough space for a bike. There was also the same problem: after some time, I discovered all cycling destinations nearby and I got bored with them too… Currently our basement is filled with cosplays and cardboard boxes, so I don’t have a place to keep my bike πŸ˜”

My next sports attempt was around 2019, a few months before pandemic. I tried going to fitness classes for the last time, but again, got bored and quit. I also tried working out at home a few times, but that is the worst for me, I got bored after 2-3 times πŸ˜‚ I didn’t manage to work out regularly even for a month.

And then, at the end of 2021, when I was slowly bringing my life to a point I’d be SUPER satisfied with it, I joined aerial hoop classes. I thought this might motivate me, because I can see visible progress other than how much I can lift up or how fast I can do push up or squats. And turns out I was right πŸ˜‚ I only skip classes when I have a fresh tattoo or when I’m super sick (a small cold can’t stop me). I really enjoy it and I see visible progress! And also feel super cool while doing it. Around February 2022 I joined pole dance class and although I don’t like it as much as lyra, it’s also fun to do! I absolutely adore my instructor, which is yet another reason to enjoy classes. Later in the year I decided I want to learn aerial silks too and I found a course which started in September and didn’t interfere with my other workouts. So now I attend lyra, silks and pole dance classes regularly 😁 Which drastically narrows my free time for cosplay, but it’s fine. I really like it, my mind rests when I work out and I feel my body is in way better condition than when I didn’t work out at all. I still want to fulfill my dream about learning cool tricks Lara Croft style though… I’m aware, that probably there are some things I might never be able to achieve, starting training in my 20s, instead of 20 years ago, but I don’t mind. I’ll do the best I can, and enjoy what I’m able to achieve 😊 Which brings me to another thought…

Recently I often read about ways to feel better with your body, when you don’t like how it looks. To focus on its functions and capabilities, instead of the way it looks. For example being grateful for legs, which can take you to beautiful places for a walk. Being grateful for your hands, which allow you to earn money for all the trash you want to buy. And I think working out is a way to recover relation with your body. I’m amazed by what it can achieve. I see myself in the mirror, doing awesome things during training and I can’t believe my body would be ever capable of it!

I’m not the best example on this though, because besides working out, I’m also getting box diet for more than a year, and I eat a bit fewer calories than my body needs, which allowed me to lose weight. And only after I lost more than 10kg and worked out at the same time, I managed to not only love my body by its capabilities, but also by the way it looks 😬

I believe everyone might find a sport’s activity they’d like. I know it may not be realistic and there are many people and stories. But minds change, possibilities change, if something isn’t achievable now, it might be in the future! I also realize it’s hard to find something for yourself when you live in a small town and can choose only between swimming pool and gym πŸ˜” I’ll keep my fingers crossed for everyone, to find something they enjoy, so they can keep their bodies healthy and flexible!

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to share! I’m perfectly aware that sharing this here instead of social media might lead to no one reading it πŸ˜‚ But I don’t mind, I usually write to get some thoughts out of my mind instead of fulfilling others reading needs 😊

print (“WELCOME TO MY LAIR”)

Hi everyone! It took me way too long to start posting here, but I finally found some time to write a greeting!

I was thinking for a while what I’d like to share on my OWN, TINY PIECE OF INTERNET and I’m still not quite sure πŸ˜… I used to write reviews, life updates and share my thoughts on social media, but ever since I’ve started working full-time, I don’t feel like doing it anymore. My eyes are super dry after staring for 8 hours at screen and the second I finish work, I turn off all screens at home and craft new costumes πŸ˜‚

Anyway I’m usually super busy cosplay-wise, even though I don’t share much on the internet πŸ˜… So I thought I could try writing weekly updates with some progress pictures and backstage from photo shoots? We’ll see how it turns out πŸ˜…

As for the website itself, I’m super happy with what we achieved with my friend Adam in “Portfolio” tab!!! So make sure to check out what cool cosplays I’ve made during my cosplay career! I’ve always wanted a place on the internet, where I could easily browse all my cosplays and photo shoots and I finally have it! πŸ₯°

For now, here’s my almost latest creation – Bela Dimitrescu from Resident Evil: Village! Actually I was making Cassandra for a group photo shoot, but in the meantime I decided to cosplay Bela too… I mean, I only had to buy another wig and make one more choker… πŸ˜‚

And by “almost latest” I meant – I already made another cosplay since this one has been finished πŸ˜‚ But I’ll leave it for another post!
